Signs of Spring

Suddenly, the allotment has sprung to life. We’ve waited two years for this, but 2012 may just be the year of the first asparagus crop!

The quince tree, which didn’t thrive last year, has already started to show encouraging signs.

The rhubarb is coming on nicely, especially the crown that’s been under a cloche.

But best of all, the purple sprouting broccoli has suddenly started to crop. Mmmm. Delicious.
