But first, some gratuitous pictures of chickens enjoying a dust bath. It was a lovely bright autumn morning, and the cockerel dug himself a nice big hole in front of the feeder. The hens quickly ousted him, and he had to dig another hole nearby. Here they all are:
But back at the project, we arrived nice and early to let the chickens out under the trees. The other free range area has been turned into a temporary storage facility for run panels.
We only had the morning available to us, but we’ve completed the basic structure.
The Onduline roof has still to go on, but I need to repair the old nail holes with mastic first. Work resumes on Thursday, weather permitting.
