… and stayed at Run Cottage Touring Park, which is a lovely peaceful place to stay. Here’s the view from our caravan window:
and looking towards the site office and facilities:
We spent the morning in Woodbridge, and the afternoon at Sutton Hoo, both of which merit separate blog entries.
There’s a lot of heathland round about, but the Deben valley provides fertile farmland too. We stopped to take a picture of some happy-looking pigs in honour of our own adopted porkie.
The poor visibility is apparent in that photo. It was caused by Saharan sand, blown over by unusual weather conditions.
After our day out, we relaxed with a pint of very nicely kept beer in the friendly Shepherd and Dog pub.
All in all, it was a very successful caravan trip. But we found that manoeuvring the caravan by hand is really too heavy for us, unless the ground is pretty flat. It’s booked in to get a motor mover fitted at the end of next week!
